Distance & Longings...

As I look at you vanish into the setting sun,

I have few regrets, but regarding falling in love with you, none,

My heart still flutters when I see you smiling,

Words flow and I just begin writing.

Prose and poems describing your beauty,

Loving you even when you are difficult and moody,

I have loved you with all the pieces of my broken heart,

Of me, you shall always be a part.

Everyone asks me how I am, and don't believe,

When I say I am happy, surprised as to why i do not grieve,

But I know I have loved you and you have loved me too,

For that, to your memories I shall never bid adieu.

It hurts to see you go but I shall wait,

For I do believe you are my soul mate,

Maybe things will change when you set your foot on that foreign land,

Think of me and I shall be there to hold your hand.

This distance between us, may cause us pain,

You may become sad when the skies darken and it rains,

But hush my love, don't shed a tear,

I am there with you always, you have nothing to fear.
